Van Damme install grade speaker cable is a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacketed and insulated range for installation use. Although UK building regulations are currently under local authority control and not central government and great variance in local legislation occurs, more and more new build projects and refits are being specified with LSZH cabling infrastructure. Van Damme install grade speaker cable runs from a 0.75mm conductor for 100V line applications to 8 x 2.5mm for multiple low impedance runs and has the same excellent electrical properties as the Van Damme blue and black series PVC jacketed cables

To be fully compliant with European legislation both the insulation and overall jacket materials are manufactured using SHF-1, a special Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) polymer. This material is not as stiff as most LSZH material, and its electrical properties are close to that of the regular PVC insulation used in the Van Damme blue and black series speaker cables. The use of SHF-1 does not compromise the excellent sonic performance expected from Van Damme speaker cables.
