Van Damme Cable for ‘The Best Jazz Club in the World’

Legendary Moscow jazz bar and restaurant, The Kozlov Club, was recently named ‘Best Jazz Club’ in the world by American organization All That Jazz. The award comes shortly after the venue was refitted and refurbished with Van Damme cable.

Opening in 2012 and then re-launching in 2017, the venue is the biggest of its kind in Moscow. It boasts two performance spaces where the likes of Steve Gadd, Dennis Chambers, Gregory Privat and more have graced the stage. The Club’s resident and touring music stars play the main stage to 150 seats while the 100-seater secondary stage is home to the more experimental and multi-genre acts.

Russian supplier of Pro AV equipment and long-term Van Damme distributor Sound Technology recently worked on the refit, providing Van Damme cable for installation at the venue. Sound Technology continue to impress with their ever-growing repertoire of high-profile work across the region.

The Kozlov Club was refitted with Van Damme Tour Grade Classic XKE Microphone Silver-Plated Cable, Tour Grade 2×2.5mm Speaker Cable, Tour Grade 2×4.0mm Speaker Cable and Tour Grade 4×4.0mm Speaker Cable.

Along with the new cabling the club is also fitted with Voice Acoustic PA systems and Yamaha and Allen & Heath at front of house. A brand-new lighting system and HD-quality live streaming capabilities also feature at the club, as well as an in-house record label and vinyl music store.

“For establishments of this standard, ensuring absolute quality and reliability of cable is essential, Van Damme was therefore used for the refit.”

Kozlov Club is known across Moscow for its contemporary and experimental music. With an average programme of three acts per night, the club’s schedule is not an easy one to maintain, but with the in-house expertise and now recent refurbishment, the quick turn-around is managed without compromising the sound.
