JustLite calls on Van Damme cables to ensure a successful summer of festivals

From Electric Picnic to Longitude, there were plenty of festivals this year to keep music lovers busy across Ireland – and Van Damme was an important part of the infrastructure to ensure the shows happen without a hitch.

JustLite Productions / Magic Kite – the UK and Ireland’s largest event company –masterminded the highest profile open-air shows this year including the Malahide Castle concerts, shows in Marlay Park (including Longitude), the Belsonic Festival and Electric Picnic.

It offers an extensive range of equipment, technical mastery and sheer weight of experience – and as part of this it has worked with Van Damme cables for many years to ensure all events are hitch-free.

The most recent stock sent to JustLite included 16 pair green multicore looms, Van Damme multimode fibre OpticalCon Duo assemblies and Van Damme Hybrid Multicores CAT6A/AES/Power, all terminated in-house.

Paul Smith, managing director of JustLite commented: “Festivals can be some of the most inspiring events you can attend but they all have their own unique demands.  A great festival experience is the combination of three things: great weather, great bands and a great sound system – and that is where Van Damme comes in.  The audio world features a ton of different cables with various uses and we know when we specify Van Damme for an event, it will not let us down.  Our clients need the ultimate sound – and that is where the fun and magic happens!”

Adam Jafrabadi, VDC export director said: “Festival season was busy this year, and as always, Ireland played host to some of the biggest events, including Longitude and Electric Picnic.  In the midst of all the music, we know how important it is for everything to run smoothly.  We are delighted that JustLite comes back to us time and time again to specify Van Damme cables for its big productions.  We have worked together for many years and are constantly impressed with the business, the scale of the shows it puts on and the amount of stock it holds at any one time!”
