In the heart of Ljubljana, Slovenia, the Academia Philharmonicorum was formed in 1701, Its members included classical greats such as Josef Haydn, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Johannes Brahms. Fast forward to today, and the Slovenian Philharmonic stands as a testament to the enduring commitment to musical artistry. This iconic institution recently undertook a significant endeavour to elevate its recording and streaming capabilities. In collaboration with Neven Smolcic, they turned to Van Damme for top-notch audio and video connections, ensuring a seamless blend of tradition and innovation.

761mph, a system integrator company, renowned for their expertise in acoustics and audio and video design, took on the task of creating a state-of-the-art studio that would capture and convey the essence of the Philharmonic’s performances. Van Damme, a trusted name in audio and video technology, played a pivotal role in this transformative project. The selection of high-quality connections from Van Damme’s repertoire was a natural choice to ensure the fidelity and clarity demanded by the Slovenian Philharmonic. Among the chosen components were 8, 12, and 16 Stage boxes, URM67 for wireless antenna connections, Van Damme Brown Series Ecoflex LSZH 8-way starquad multicore microphone connections, Enhanced Performance UHD Vision 12 GHz RG11/U and RG6/U for video connections, TourCat Cat 7A flexible S/FTP for ethernet connections, and the classic XKE microphone cables with Neutrik connectors.

Navigating the complexities of compliance with the legislation set by the Institute for Cultural Heritage added an extra layer of challenge and responsibility to the project. Undeterred, 761mph embraced the challenge and took pride in being entrusted with the design of acoustics and audio and video connections for the recording and video studio, catering to both recording and streaming requirements.
